As you guys know work is always crazy but i am being challenged by God this week. For me it's the work/sleep/eat routine day in and day out. I no longer want this cycle in my life. Several things happened this week....
One of the doc's found out his old attending died because a tree fell on his car but his children in the back were spared... he asked how can God let that happen to good people? He wouldn't believe or understand what i was trying to say, but I can tell you he knows where I stand in my faith. I told a 45 year old women she had cancer that spread through out her body, needless to say there were a lot of tears, but I can tell you that comforting words of the Bible heals the broken heart and the teary eyed fo sho. The busy hectic schedule at work is stressing me out like crazy because everyone needs my attention but I can tell you there is nothing better than praying in the middle of craziness. In this midst of this, God is challenging me to find refuge and comfort in Him and to put my faith into action.
2 Thessalonian 3:6-15 warns us about being idle. "Faith without deeds is dead" james 2. To sum it up, saying that you're a christian but not living the christian life. God has convicted me that work is not an excuse for not serving more. When we surrender our life for God, we should be living for God in word and deed. (God convicted me in college that school isn't an excuse to not serve God... interesting how you learn an old lesson over again) I/we should be the first to volunteer to do anything not to look good in front of parents or other people, but all for God's glory. amen?
I thank God for allowing me to teach the middler class for the next couple sundays and opening my eyes to deepen my relationship with God.
Kind of what thuy was saying about life is too short to complain.... i say life is too short to sit there and do nothing. It's time to move God's kingdom forward. I firmly believe we are the generation that God will use to cross the vietnamese/english bridges. It's time to move God's kingdom forward.
This is not directed towards anyone at all, this is my own personal conviction that I wanted to share. any thoughts?
