Party!

Hi everyone, it's been two weeks since I last posted. Sorry for being an undisciplined blogger. Bad me.

Check out the pictures from our 1st annual Harvest Festival. The idea of the Festival was to celebrate a "Christian Halloween". Everyone was encouraged to dress up as a biblical character. There were games, food and prizes. As you can see our good-looking group was well represented (nice candy-apple Alex). Next year maybe you guys will not be so shy and dress up :) Braxton represented in his ultra cute chicken costume. We all had great fun!

The little things

Hi guys!

It's finally getting chilly here in the Northeast. I love this time of year. Hope everyone is ending this week on a good note! As for me, it has been a pretty crazy busy week for our agency. We have some really interesting projects and I'm excited about the next couple of weeks. BUT the coolest thing for me this week is (as you can see) my 5-year-old daughter riding her bike for the first time. Sorry but a proud father needs to gloat now and then.

Thank you all for checking out this blog. I think this format has great potential for our group. And if this becomes the TMZ of God's gossip, that would be a great thing. I will continue to post and thanks again for your support.

See y'all this Sunday.

YAF's first blog

Welcome to the Young Adults Fellowship (YAF) blog.

Just to let everyone know, I am not a "blogger". So be kind to me. But due to the nature of our group (geographically spread out), I finally see a value/purpose to this whole blogging phenomenon.

I like the idea of a blog because you guys can add comments for the entire group to view. And for those who can't join us every Sunday, you can visit this blog to view the history of our group's activities (get the gossip).

I will also keep emailing everyone weekly, but I hope everyone will make a habit of checking this blog and PARTICIPATE!!

We had a great fellowship on Sunday.

Thanks to MAJOR Alex Tran for installing new flooring in our classroom! It's definitely more inviting and comfortable compared to the concrete.

We also had three new faces visiting our group for the first time. While they are not strangers to our church, I want to welcome Mai, Kim and Minh to our group.

Mai is Phung's fiancee. She commutes to Philly daily. Her job is very cool (she helps save lives). For details, I suggest you ask her about it.

Kim and Minh were visiting from New Jersey. They both grew up in Lancaster and met in Philly during college. They are engaged and will be married next September. It was great meeting them!

As always I am very moved by the long distance the majority of our group has to travel to worship with us. So I am glad the weather has been mild which makes traveling that much safer.

I also want to thank you to those who are in the Lancaster area for faithfully attending the English service and our fellowship!

We had a great coffee bar going. Thuy did not disappoint with bringing flavored cream. Next week I will have decaf and tea. Watch out Starbucks.
